Farmers Market Day
Kyler was 7 weeks old on Tuesday, and he's following the textbooks: starting to enjoy touch and sound. His bug wrist bands have rattles in them. They didn't entertain him for more than about a minute this morning, but the baby yoga class we went to today was a big hit. He loved all the movement, singing/chanting, and looking at all the other people, which I think is his favorite activity right now. Yesterday I went to ABC Bakery in Chinatown, got a 25-cent red bean bun, and sat for almost 15 minutes letting him watch the people come in and out. He was a happy camper until he yawned 3 times, the naptime signal.
Mom and Dad have been making lots of fresh carrot and apple juice at home, and Kyler joined me to re-supply today. Since I go every week (it's on our block), all the vendors we buy from at the Farmer's Market know us, which makes it feel very much like a small neighborhood.
Tonight we'll join RuthAnn, Matt, and Jonah at Chochmat Halev for Kyler's first Shabbat service. Lots of people and singing, so we expect him to enjoy it.
Then on Sunday Nana Carol and Papa are coming to visit. We'll be putting them to work cooking, shopping, and doing home improvements. Maybe we'll even get the webcam to work? Horray for grandparents! Maybe we'll make our favorite juice blend - carrot-apple-chard-beet-ginger. Minus the ginger if Papa's willing to have some. :) Gotta love living on the same street as farmer's market. Bonus points for Nana if she's willing to clean the juicer (hint hint).
